On the 4th & 5th July 2009 the eighth Westerwald Show was held in Wirges. Again special breed judges were invited. From South Africa came Mrs. Jackie Mackenzie, who judged on Saturday. For the Sunday it was Mr. Mark James from Great Britain.
On both days MANROSE Marquesa di Brera was Best of Breed and with this result she was also awarded the challenge trophy of the city of Wirges for the Best dog of the double show.
