About us
How it began
In 1987 we made a “round-the-world-Trip” for 8 months. When we stayed with our relatives in the USA we learned how wonderful it could be to take care of a Puppy-dog. From this day on we got involved with the dog world.
When we saw a shaggy, hairy dog, well known from the Doris Day Movie, we knew it had to be one like this. Whenever we saw such a dog, we had to stop the car and pet the dog and talk to his owner. We became more and more involved with the breed, we not only liked his look but were inspired by his nature.
We went to several Dog Shows at home and abroad. Studied many pedigrees and learnt how the different lines were built up.
After the World Dog Show in Dortmund in 1989 we continued our trip to the Netherlands, where we visited the Vigilat’s Kennel. It was love at first sight with the bitch Vigilat’s Yoline just after the door was opened. She was just so extra special. We had long talks with the breeders and drove around the Netherlands to see more of this stock. After this trip our name was on their waiting list for a Puppy.
It took another two years before we got our first dog Sam out of Yoline. Of course we went three times to the Netherlands to visit our Baby and could hardly wait to get him home.
With Sam our dream was fulfilled. He became a wonderful male, who touched many people.
